The Circular Shift: What’s Your Role?
Date & Time

Description

As the construction and design industry struggles to find its path out of the “take, make, waste” linear economy, learn how manufacturers, architects and general contractors are collaborating to make the circular economy a reality. Our industry is responsible for 160 million tons of building-related construction and demolition debris every year in the United States (Source: EPA). As we continue to design materials and buildings, the rate of our natural resource depletion, carbon footprint and landfill consumption is growing while we work and watch. We have designed ourselves into a linear economy. This session, we'll talk about how manufacturers have designed products and processes to make the circular economy possible and how design and general contracting partners make it a reality. Panelists Tim Conway (Shaw Contract) and Marcus Hooper (Gensler) will represent each of these key players.

This session is sponsored by Premier Recycle.
