Description

The 50L Home Coalition – a joint initiative of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the World Economic Forum – unites leaders including Kohler, Electrolux, IKEA, and Procter & Gamble around a mission to make 50 liters per day feel like 500 through innovative design and behavioral change. This session will share data from a two-year pilot in Los Angeles, where 31 homes were retrofitted with high-efficiency fixtures and consumables. Without being asked to conserve, participants reduced their water consumption to just 21 gallons per person per day — 56% below the LA average — through easier, more enjoyable home routines. Join us to hear what these findings mean for California's development pipeline and why building water efficiency in from the start helps developers meet sustainability goals, reduce utility costs, and deliver homes buyers want.
