Nathaniel Gundersen is a Senior Consultant with Buro Happold’s Advisory Group, where he partners with local governments, public agencies, and private entities to address the interconnected challenges of sustainable growth and equitable development. Driven by a desire to enrich communities and advance social and environmental outcomes, Nathaniel brings an applied understanding of the built environment to the policy and planning process, creating transformative impact through design thinking, transdisciplinary collaboration, and community process. Nathaniel holds a master’s in public policy and a master’s in urban planning from University of Southern California and a bachelor’s in architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a licensed architect in Washington State and holds a certificate in Healthy Materials and Sustainable Buildings from the Parsons School of Design.
