Speaker Bio
After earning her dual degree in Environmental Economics & Policy and Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, Robyn now works as an urban planner for the City of Oakland, where she processes permits for small-scale construction projects. Fluent in Tagalog, English, and Mandarin, she is deeply interested in how effective communication can shape a regenerative built environment—one where people are empowered to create places that foster care, synergy and joy. Robyn is committed to advancing sustainable cities and sustainable relationships, be it making complex development regulations more digestible at the zoning counter as an urban planner or helping bring ingenious, climate-forward projects like EnergyNet to reality as a Global Urban Development Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, cooking, and singing her heart out at karaoke.
