Kathleen Egan is an innovator, serial entrepreneur, and champion for sustainability and equality. She is the CEO and Co-founder of ecomedes the largest B2B SaaS platform for efficient product evaluation and communication across the $1T building product supply chain. She serves on the Board of The 5 Gyres Institute, a pioneer in reducing the harm from plastic pollution.

Kathleen has worked in Silicon Valley start-ups since 1999 with four venture-backed exits including: ProfitLogic, a price optimization pioneer acquired by Oracle, Revionics, the leader in merchandise optimization, acquired by Aptos, and flyswat, an early web navigation tool acquired by NBCi.

She is passionate about making the world a better place. She produced an award-winning documentary, It Ain’t Pretty about sexual objectification and equity in big wave surfing. She creates artwork from beach plastic in a series of mosaics to educate people about the volume of plastic waste.

She has a BS in engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from The Harvard Business School. Kathleen lives at Ocean Beach in San Francisco with her son and husband where they love to surf, bike, ski, play rugby, baseball, and watch whales migrate.
