Michelle Malanca Frey is a climate and sustainability leader with more than 20 years of experience in sustainable urban development. She is known for her collaborative approach and her ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to solve complex challenges. As Founder and Principal at Mission Atlas, she works with mission-driven organizations to develop strategies that align their vision and their people, strengthen teams and operations, and foster collaboration that turns ideas into impact. Michelle has served in several leadership roles in the US and internationally, including as Executive Director of the Urban Land Institute San Francisco, Vice President at the World Green Building Council, and Technical Director at the Green Building Council of Australia. Michelle also speaks, writes, and organizes events demonstrating how we can create the future we need by working together – and that meaningful change happens when people are connected, supported, and empowered to act.
