Kavita is a sustainability manager with Webcor, a large commercial general contractor based in California. In this role, she helps manage green building certification process on the contractor side for all projects along with the respective project teams and ensures successful completion of all sustainability goals set for the project. She also manages Webcor’s carbon tracking and management program (Scope 1, 2, 3) and internal waste management program; and is an internal SME on all things LEED and circularity. She has over 10 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry, working on a wide range of projects and certifications. She has previously served on the LEED Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group (MR TAG) at USGBC and is currently the co-chair of the Regional Leadership Advisory Board for USGBC California - Bay Area chapter. She is passionate about waste, circularity, healthy and low carbon materials, and the impact materials have on the built environment throughout its lifecycle. Kavita holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Mumbai and Master of Science in Sustainable Design degree from Thomas Jefferson University.
