Gary Lai, a former chair of the USGBC-CA and a seasoned landscape architect, will provide a concise overview of the Nature-based Solutions track. This session will address the ongoing debates surrounding the definition of the term. Gary currently serves on the Blue Ribbon Committee for Nature-based Solutions for Los Angeles County, where the definition debate has been particularly contentious. Concluding the tracks' sessions, Gary will provide a summary of the day’s proceedings and express anticipation for the future integration of site design into the LEED scoring system.
