Caroline began her design career in multifamily affordable housing after earning an architecture degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In 2020, she joined a natural building crew, gaining hands-on experience with hemp-lime and lime plaster, which led her to start her own architecture practice focused on biomaterials. She has worked on over 20 hemp-lime projects across multiple states and co-authored Hemp-Lime Illustrated, a resource on architectural details for hemp-lime construction. Caroline also serves as co-chair of the AIA Austin Resilience and Climate Response Advocacy Committee and sits on the ASTM D37 Cannabis Committee.
