Description
In January 2023, the California Public Utilities Commission created the state’s first-ever Market Transformation Administrator (CalMTA) to advance groundbreaking energy efficiency initiatives that will bring long-lasting market changes to California. CalMTA’s work to develop a market transformation portfolio that supports statewide goals for energy savings, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, grid flexibility, workforce development, and equity centers on the built environment. This session will explore CalMTA’s first market transformation ideas and their impact on residential and commercial building performance, as well as potential implications on statewide policies and building codes.
