Rachel Patterson is the University Engineer at the California State University, Office of the Chancellor. She reviews campus capital projects and master plans, and administers the Mechanical Review Board. She supports pilot projects and program development around energy efficiency, building decarbonization, and climate adaptation and resilience, and advises on related code and regulatory compliance pathways for the CSU. Rachel holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California. She serves in an Ex-Officio capacity for the California Building Standards Commission’s Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical and Energy Code Advisory Committee.
