Valeria is the Coordinator of Local Engagement at Rewiring America, focusing on recruitment, engagement, and strategy for members of Rewiring Americaʼs Local Governments Leaders for Electrification Coalition. Prior to joining RA, Valeria was the Midwest Building Decarbonization Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council where she focused on policy development and campaigns for statewide building decarbonization policies in Illinois and Michigan and at the local level in Chicago. Prior to her time at NRDC, Valeria was also a 2020 Stanford Haas Center Climate Justice Fellow at Climate Resilient Communities and Stanford's Future Bay Initiative, where she helped build and assess climate resilience among low-income communities in the Bay Area.
