Description

The future of our industry relies on bold goal-setting, strong dedication to commitments, and trust across the team to realize those ideals. This panel discussion will demonstrate the power of this trifecta via a case study of the new California Campus at University High School (UHS) in San Francisco. The all-electric project, located in a dense urban neighborhood, is designed to achieve net zero energy and LEED Platinum certification*, despite multiple evolutions in program, unanticipated infrastructure requirements, and considerable site constraints. Designers and engineers will candidly share their process of accelerating momentum towards a low-carbon future and committing to necessary climate goals, ultimately delivering a project that exemplifies how design performance can stretch to the edges, while providing a welcoming, iconic campus center for some of San Francisco’s most passionate and curious learners.
