Tim Conway has long been focused on the positive effects that sustainable flooring products can have on our buildings, and more importantly, the people that occupy and live in the spaces we design. As Vice President of Sustainability at Shaw Industries, Tim recognizes the success we all have when we work collectively to achieve sustainability goals.

Over the past decade, Tim has been at the forefront of partnering with Shaw’s commercial customers to help achieve their sustainability goals. He serves as the liaison between sustainability leaders within the industry and the Shaw team to bring insights for new innovations to help drive the sustainability movement forward. From CEUs, client meetings, and collaboration among firms and customers with likeminded goals, Tim has a unique ability to translate complex systems like Cradle to Cradle, EPDs and HPDs into simple stories that empower change and deliver buildings that have positive intent for the future of our planet and its people.

Tim has become widely recognized in the market as a leading sustainability expert. His industry expertise has allowed him to present at GreenBuild, Living Future Conference, CleanMed, and other major conferences. Tim is also heavily engaged in building and wellness programs such as serving on the mindful MATERIALS steering committee and creating the corresponding manufacturers group; involvement with Health Care without Harm and the Healthy Hospital and Healthy Campus initiatives; and being a champion of Shaw’s reclamation efforts which have contributed to millions of pounds of carpet being diverted from the landfill.
