Dr. Cassie Rauser is a climate and sustainability leader working at the intersection of science, policy, and community to advance nature-based solutions for healthy, resilient cities. She is Chief Executive Officer of TreePeople, where she leads work on urban forestry, green infrastructure, and community-centered climate resilience, including post-fire landscape recovery. Previously, she served as Executive Director of UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge and helped shape regional sustainability, clean energy, resilient water supply and biodiversity strategies. Trained as a biologist, her work is grounded in a lifelong love of nature – especially butterflies – and a belief that cities and ecosystems thrive together.
