As climate impacts intensify, cities and designers must move beyond treating nature as an amenity and instead design it as essential infrastructure for more resilient, healthy communities. This session brings together experts in ecology, design, and building systems to explore how biophilic and nature-based approaches, applied from regional planning to indoor environments, can reduce climate risk, improve daily life, and advance equity in California’s cities.
