Alison Brown has over 15 years of experience in renewable energy. She has worked with solar, battery, electric vehicle, fuel cell, and smart grid technologies on projects ranging from remote, off-grid cabins to industrial microgrids. She is passionate about making strategic design decisions to eliminate risks early in a project. In 2016, Alison founded Flux Energy Systems to provide cost effective engineering solutions for alternative energy projects. Since then, she has led the design of over 4.5 GWh of operating BESS projects, and over 400 photovoltaic projects making Flux one of leading renewable energy engineering firms in the country.
Alison holds a B.A. in Physics from Middlebury College and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She was a recipient of the 2009 Transatlantic Renewable Energy Fellowship. She is a licensed professional engineer in 6 states.

Before OCPA, she served as Community Engagement Manager at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), leading 10 programs introducing energy-efficient technologies to underserved communities in LA County. She is also the Advocacy Lead for the USGBC-CA OC Regional Lab, where she focuses on community connection and policy in the built environment. Nataly is passionate about creating opportunities that drive both environmental and economic impact, empowering underserved communities in the clean energy transition.
